If you aren't sure what vibes are, come to learn and listen.  The Vibraphone is an angelic and massive instrument that provides melody (melody is the actual song sung by singer), chords (3 or more notes played together / like what a piano player plays) and percussion (someone hitting something to make a noise) all at the same time.
